General Expectations: The hermitage is intended for peaceful enjoyment and relaxation in solitude; therefore, loud noises disruptive behavior are strictly prohibited. Each hermitage is suitable for only one retreatant at a time. Visitors are not allowed. All guests should respect the tranquil nature of the environment.
Noise Policy: All retreatants must maintain noise levels that do not disturb the natural surroundings or other hermitage users. This includes excessive noise from music and outdoor activities. Noise should be minimized at all times to ensure a peaceful environment.
Respect for Nature: Hermitage users should avoid disturbing the natural environment, including wildlife, plants, water, and soil, respecting the sacred nature of the hermitages and the forest. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in the hermitages and on the grounds.
Damage and Misconduct: Retreatants are responsible for any damage to the property caused by their actions. If behavior is found to be disruptive to the intended peaceful environment, the rental agreement may be terminated early with no refund.
Check-In and Check-Out:
Check-in time: 2pm-4pm
Check-out time: 11am
Late check-outs or early arrivals must be arranged in advance and are subject to availability.

Liability: Any personal property brought to the hermitage is brought at our own risk, and the Sisters of St. Francis/Franciscan Spiritual Center, their employees, or agents, do not guarantee the security of any such property left on the premises and will not reimburse for such personal property that may be lost or damaged. The retreatant agrees to hold the Sisters/Center harmless for such property damage and bodily injury that occurs during their stay.
